| 2007-8-21 |状语从句 |
一、 时间状语从句
引导时间状语从句的有：when, while, as, before, after, since, till, until, as soon as,
1、while引导的从句中谓语动词必须是能够延续的动词，强调两个动作同时进行。
如：while i was sitting there, he told me an interesting story．
2、 since引导的从句用过去时, 主句用现在完成时。
What have you been doing since I last saw you?
3、 As 用于时间发生较短，表示一边……一边……的意思
He smiled as he left me.
４、可以用来表示从句动作在主句动词的动作“之前”或“之后”发生
When I got to the cinema, the film had begun.
５、after, before的用法
Do it before you forget (翻译)
After he left school, he joined the army. (翻译)
６、as soon as: 一……就……
As soon as he came home, I told him about that.
7、 在...以前, 直到...为止
She sat there from morning till night.
二、 地点状语从句
1、 where
Go where you want
2、 wherever (no matter where )
Wherever you go, whatever you do, I will be right here waiting for you
三、 原因状语从句
Because, > since,> as, > for
１、because 语气最重，回答why (为什么)时只能用它。
Why didn’t you go, because I didn’t want to leave without you?
２、Since放在句首，既然
Since you can keep it a secret, why can’t I?
３、as 由于……
As you like it, take it.
４、因为…… 一般只表示理由
The day breaks because the sun is rising.
The day breaks, for the birds are singing.
５、Now that: 因为
四、条件状语从句
１、if :如果
If you use your head, you’ll find a way.
２、Unless (=if …not ) 除非
I will not stay at home unless it rains heavily.
五、目的、结果状语从句
１.so that
I’ll talk slowly so that you can understand me (目的)
I talked slowly so that you understood me. (结果)
2．So…that
He is so young that he may not be able to do it. (目的)
He is so young that he couldn’t do it. （结果）
３. in order that: 为了……
I’ll talk slowly in order that you may understand me.
4. So …that / such…that
She is so clever a girl that every one likes her
She is such a clever girl that every one likes her.
5. in case 以防万一
you'd better take some clothes in case the weather is cold.
六、让步状语从句
1. Though, although ：虽然
Though he is young, he knows a lot.
Young as he is, he knows a lot
2. even if = even though “即使……也”
Even if I am busy, I will go
３．however, no matter how, although 的辨析．
六、比较状语从句
主要运用于形容词、副词的原级、比较级及最高级的句子之中。
1. more…than
This book is more interesting than that one.
2. no more than: 只不过
He has no more than three friends.
He has no more friends than I.
