Sorry I couldn’t get back to you『过一会在于某人通话』 sooner. I have so many (chores) to do today. I have to do my (homework), of course. I started about an hour ago,
but I haven’t finished. Then I have to (take the dog for a walk), (water my mom's plans),and do some (shopping). I (haven't done) any of those
things yet because my (grandfather) came to (chat) with me. He loves talking and I love listening to him. He started telling me about all of the
(chores he had to do) when he was a kid. He had to get up at 5 am to chop『砍；劈；剁』 wood『木头；木材』 and light『点燃；点着』 the fire for (breakfast). Then he had to (collect water)
from the village well『井；水井』. Then he had to( feed the animals)---he and his family lived on the farm『农场；农庄』.
Anyway『不管怎样；不管用何种方式』, I have to run mow.

Do you like pop music? Most people do. One of the best bands on the music scene 『舞台』is
the New Ocean Waves『波浪，波涛』. In the last twelve months, they’re had three major concerts
and made a hit CD. They’re going to appear『出现 露面 公开演出』 on CCTV next month. And then they’re
going to go on a world tour in which they will perfrom in ten different citie. Be sure
not to miss them if they come to a city near you –if you can get tickets, that is.
“For years, we played other people’s songs,”says lead singer『主唱者』 Zhu Wen. “But
now we play mostly our own songs. We’re had a few songs in the top ten, but we

1.What else can you tell me？你能告诉我别的什么事吗？⑴else是副词，意思是“此外；另外；其他”。通常置于some，any，no及与-body，-one，-place，-thing结合而而成的不定代词及与-where结合而成的副词之后；wh-疑问词之后；all，much，little等不定代词之后。
①any，no等和-body，-thing结合而成的代词，其后加上else的形式，可改成使用other的形式。
②else只能用于不定代词和特殊疑问词后；而other是形容词，通常其后跟名词。other的复数形式others可用作代词。
2.The person has a lot of money to spend on the vacation。这个人有很多钱，可以用来度假。⑴money是不可数名词，意思是“钱，货币”。注意：在英语中，单词money是不可数名词，但是dollar和pound是可数名词。⑵to spend on the vacation是动词不定式，在句子中的作用是修饰名词money。⑶spend是及物动词，意思是“花钱；花时间”。注意：spend的常用句型：①（人）主+spend+时间（钱）+on+名词。②（人）主+spend+时间（钱）+in+动名词。其中in可以省略。
