A little boy asked his mother "Why are you crying?"

　　一个男孩问他的妈妈：“ 你为什么要哭呢？”

　　"Because I'm a woman," she told him.

　　妈妈说：“因为我是女人啊。”

　　"I don't understand," he said.

　　男孩说：“我不懂。”

　　His mum just hugged him and said, "And you never will."

　　他妈妈抱起他说：“你永远不会懂的。”
Later the little boy asked his father,"Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"

　　后来小男孩就问他爸爸：“妈妈为什么毫无理由的哭呢？”

　　"All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.

　　他爸爸只能说：“所有女人都这样。”
The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.

　　小男孩长大了，成为一个男人，但他仍就不懂女人为什么哭泣。

　Finally he put in a call to God; and when God got on the phone, he asked,"God, why do women cry so easily?"

　　最后，他打电话给上帝；在上帝拿起电话时，他问道：“上帝，女人为什么那么容易哭泣呢？”
God said: "When I made the woman, she had to be special. I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of theworld; yet, gentle enough to give comfort."

　　上帝回答说：“当我创造女人时，就让她很特别。我使她的肩膀能挑起整个世界；同时却又柔情似水。”

"I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children."

　　“我让她的内心很坚强，能够承受分娩的痛苦，并能多次忍受来自自己孩子的拒绝。”
"I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone elsegives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatiguewithout complaining."

　　“我赋予她耐心使她能在别人选择放弃的时候继续坚持着，并且无怨无悔的照顾自己的家人渡过疾病与疲劳。”
"I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly."

　　“我赋予她在任何情况下都会爱孩子的感情，即使她的孩子伤害了她。”

"I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart."

　　“我赋予她包容她丈夫过错的坚强，并用他的肋骨塑成她来保护他的心。”

　　"I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife,but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside himunfalteringly."

　　“我赋予她智慧让她知道一个好丈夫是绝不会伤害他的妻子的，但有时我也会考验她支持自己丈夫的坚持与决心。”

"And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."

　　“最后，我让她可以流泪。只要她愿意，这是她所独有的。”

"You see, the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair."

　　“你看，女人的漂亮不是因为她穿的衣服，她保持的体型或者她梳头的方式。”
"The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides."

　　“女人的美丽必须要从她的眼睛中去看，因为那是她心灵的窗口，爱居住的地方。”

　　Every Woman is beautifull.　每个女人都美丽。

　　First, 名词复数的特殊变化。

　　普通名词的复数我们知道是直接加-s或 -es，可是偏偏有一些名词不听话，变化不规则。这些小调皮是：

　　a. class, box, watch, brush等词以 s, x, ch, sh, 结尾，复数要加-es；

　　b. story, factory 等以"辅音字母+y"结尾的词复数要先将-y 变成-i再加-es；

　　c. knife, wife, life等以-f 或-fe结尾的词一般先将-f或-fe变为-v, 再加-es；

　　d. 以-o结尾的名词，一般来说，末尾是"元音字母+o" 的词加-s，我们学过的有radio,zoo。末尾是"辅音字母+o"的词，变复数加-es。如：tomato, hero, potato，当然其中的piano 和photo，又是一个例外，他们的结尾只能加-s。

　　e. child（children）, foot（feet）, tooth（teeth）, mouse（mice）, man（men ）, woman（women ）等词的复数变化全不遵循规则。

注意：与 man 和 woman构成的合成词，其复数形式也是 -men 和-women。如：an Englishman，two Englishmen. 但German不是合成词，故复数形式为 Germans；

f. deer，sheep等词更是懒得可以，竟然单复数同形。好记好记。 people，police，cattle 等词，以单数形式出现，但实为复数，所以它们的谓语当然也是复数形式，这就是集体名词。the English，the French，the Chinese等名词表示国民总称时，也作复数用。

　　注意：maths，politics，physics等学科名词,虽然以-s结尾，仍为不可数名词。还有theUnited States(美国），the United Nations（联合国）等应视为单数。

　　别奇怪，名词有时也可以作定语的。它作定语时一般用单数，但也有以下例外。

　　a. man, woman等作定语时，它的单复数以其所修饰的名词的单复数而定。如：men　workers， women teachers。

　　b. 数词+名词作定语时，这个名词一般保留单数形式,中间加连字符。如：a ten-mile walk十里路，two-hundred trees 两百棵树。

　　哇！这些问题好复杂，我好想轻松一下。那我们就轻轻松松地面对名词所有格问题。

　　这里面内容可谓少之又少，可也不能小视呦。

名词所有格：

表示“……的”通常是在名词的后面加-s，如：Children's day，father's shoes。但以-s结尾的名词因为已经有s了，只需加 ' 就OK了。如果两个名词并列，并且分别有's，.则表示“分别有”。.如：John's and Mary's room（约翰和玛丽各有一间，共两间）；两个名词并列，只有一个's，则表示"共有"。如：John and Mary's room（约翰和玛丽共有一间）。

还有些无生命名词的所属要用介词of来帮助一下，如：a map of China，the end of this term
