The taller you are,the shorter he is.

你越高，他就越矮。

The more you like her,the less she cares you.

你越喜欢她，她越不在乎你。

注意： 当同一物体碰上介词短语在主句和从句中进行比较时， 只能用that 或those.

我桌子上的书比你桌子上的书多

The books on my desk are more than those on your desk.

法国的夏天比英国热得多。

The summer in France is much hotter than that in England.

这个城市的人比那个城市的人高。

The people in this city are more than those in that city.

More than  : 超过

超过50个学生病了

More than 50 students are ill.

这条街上有超过3家的银行。

There are more that 3 banks in the street.

She is more than smart.

她何止机灵

You are worse than ill.

你比病了更糟糕。

He is less than overexcited.

他没那么兴奋。

She is less than overhappy.

其实她并不是很幸福。

他不仅仅是坏。

No more than 只不过。——少 ： 

no less than不亚于。 ——多： 

You have no more than one child.

你只不过只有一个孩子。

He is no less clever than you.

他不亚于你聪明.

Not more than.不多于。 （没有重点，无所谓多少）。 

Not less than 不比...少或小= 超不多一样（没有重点）

There are more than 10 persons.

There are not more  than 10 persons.

I have not less apples than you.

我的苹果不少于你/和你的一样多。

He is no less kind than you

他的善良不亚于你。

他和你一样亲切。

最高级：两者之间可以用比较级吗？（可以）

Who is the most handsome boy? Jim or Tom.

She is the most pretty girl.

He is my best friend.

最高级如果被物主代词，专有名词，不加the.

It is Beijing's highest building.

 最高级作表语时也可以省略the .

I think I am (the) happiest girl.

It smells (the)most delicious.

补充两个知识点：

1，如果最高级被very修饰，那么一定要加the .

She is the very shortest in my class.

She is(the) shortest in my class.

 2,最高级没有“最”的意思时，等于very.  但是这个时候most不能重读 。

Tom is a most clever boy.(=very)
